The Coyote basketball and baseball programs have been among the best in the Northwest over the past three decades - the basketball team advancing to 19 NAIA National Championship events, winning the 1996 NAIA Division II national title and advancing to the national quarterfinals in 2015, with the baseball team advancing to the postseason every year from 1987-2012 - winning the 1998 NAIA National Championship. Over the past decade, The C of I has fielded one of the more successful women's intercollegiate athletic programs in the Pacific Northwest.
